From Lake Charles: North on US 171 to Sam Houston Jones Parkway. Turn west and turn on Hwy. 378 Spur. Turn right onto Sutherland Road and proceed to Cypress Lake Rd and take a left. Take another left at Clyde Drive and go to the stop sign. Turn left office on immediate left (metal barn, 1207 Cheyenne Drive).

From Westlake: Go north into Moss Bluff on Hwy. 378. Turn left at 378 Spur. Then follow instructions above.

To file an action in the Ward 1 Justice of the Peace Court:

 

Judge Catherine Michiels can hear most civil matters in Ward 1 of Calcasieu Parish. Call her at 337-855-4065 or on her cell 337-855-6169. She fills out the paperwork and collects advance court costs. Once the paperwork is completed, the constable then serves the process.
